Cooking Class with Konstantin Ivlev

Publish фев 15, 2019

On 16 February in St. Petersburg, chef Konstantin Ivlev leda cooking class for parents of children with cystic fibrosis.

Medical experience dictates that the overall health of children and adults with cystic fibrosis is closely tied with their diet. Due to genetic defects, these individuals lose protein and fat since birth, which they need to compensate for with a high-calorie diet. If an average school-aged child eats 1200-1500 calories a day, then a child with cystic fibrosis needs 2500-3000 calories (twice as much).

For parents of children with cystic fibrosis, the proper diet is very important, otherwise the child will lose weight and other symptoms will flare up.

It is sometimes difficult to adapt traditional recipes and not always possible to follow the principles of a high-calorie diet.

To help these parents, well-known chef Konstantin Ivlev invited them to a cooking class with a custom menu that followed the principles of a high-calorie and healthy diet and was high in fat and protein.

Konstantin Ivlev is a chef, founder of the IVLEVgroup, host of the TV show “Hell’s Kitchen” (Russia) and “On the Edge”.
