The second International Cystic Fibrorsis Physiotherpahy Workshop was held in Belgrade on 30-31 May. The event was organized by European Cystic Fibrosis Society and the Patient Association of Serbia.
On the first day of the workshop, theoretical reports were presented by national and international experts. During the practical programme, expert CF physiotherapist Hugues Gauchez (Lille, France), who has done extensive clinical work and training, shared his unique experiences with participants. Erik Van Bon and Annelies Meeus (Mechelen, Belgium), practicing physiotherapists, also spoke during the event.
On the second day, two seminars were held at the same time: one for physiotherapists and another in the form of a workshop for parents and patients.
Thanks to the Ostrova Charitable Foundation’s financial support, Galina Kuptsova, director of rehabilitation at the Morozovskaya Children’s Hospital, was able to take part in the event. With the foundation’s support, Galina was previously able to attend a course on kinesiotherapy in St Petersburg. She now actively implements therapeutic exercises for treating patients with cystic fibrosis in her own department.
