13 September 2016 saw the grand opening of a kinesitherapy room for cystic fibrosis patients at the Republic Children’s Hospital in Cheboksary. It will regularly hold special therapeutic exercise sessions to help patients improve their breathing and well-being.
In 2015, the Republic Children’s Hospital, jointly with the Dvizhenije-Chuvash Regional Public Organization, submitted an application to participate in the Ostrova Foundation’s Kinesitherapy Charity Programme and received an opportunity for targeted funding. The funds allocated were used to train to kinesitherapists and purchase special medical and sports equipment for use in kinesitherapy exercises.
