The contest is held annually as part of the Kinesitherapy Charity Programme and is aimed at organizing care for cystic fibrosis patients by expanding the practice of therapeutic exercise (kinesitherapy) around Russia and establishing kinesitherapy offices at medical institutions where qualified specialists can conduct regular exercises with cystic fibrosis patients.
This year, the foundation received one application. The Assistance for Patients with Cystic Fibrosis Voronezh regional public organization submitted a project to the competition that involves establishing a kinesitherapy office at the Center for Children and Adolescents with Cystic Fibrosis and providing training for specialists of Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 2 Voronezh region’s Budgetary Institution of Healthcare in conducting kinesitherapy for further work with patients. Currently, more than 70 people have cystic fibrosis in Voronezh and the Voronezh region.
The project was approved by the competition’s commission of experts and will receive targeted funding. Applications were also received from several districts for training kinesitherapy physicians. These applications will be considered as part of the “Education” competition.
