On 8 October 2016, a scientific and practical conference ”Specifics of out-patient observation and hospital treatment of patients with Cystic Fibrosis” took place in Ryazan at the N.V. Dmitrieva Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.
Experts on treatment of cystic fibrosis from St Petersburg, Moscow and Samara took part in the conference.
The conference evoked great interest among doctors from Ryazan and the Ryazan region, where there are currently 15 cases of cystic fibrosis registered. There was an audience of over 50, including doctors of different disciplines from both children’s and adult polyclinics and hospitals.
The initiator and organizer of this conference was the parents’ association helping cystic fibrosis patients in the city of Ryazan and the Ryazan region, represented by Ekaterina Baisheva, with financial support from the Ostrova Foundation as part of the Initiative Charity Programme. We would like to express our gratitude to the administration and doctors of the N.V. Dmitrieva Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital for their support in organizing this event. Conferences and seminars on Cystic Fibrosis promote extension of knowledge and professional motivation among doctors in the regions, resulting in improved medical services being provided to cystic fibrosis patients where they live.
