Between 15 April and 15 October 2016, the Ostrova Charitable Foundation accepted applications to participate in the Training Contest organized by doctors involved in treating patients with cystic fibrosis.
This year, application forms were received from doctors from 20 regions across Russia. The contest commission held a meeting and approved a decision to provide financial support for the training organization and on-the-job training for 31 participants, including pulmonologists, nurses from regional hospitals for children and adults, pediatricians, gastroenterologists, bacteriologists, and exercise therapy doctors.

The Training Contest is held annually. Applications for the next contest will start being accepted in the spring of 2017.
By helping doctors from Russia’s regions to improve their qualifications in the treatment of cystic fibrosis, we are able to help ensure that patients receive appropriate and more qualified medical care in the places where they live.
