On 26 November, Nizhniy Novgorod Regional Non-governmental Organisation for Assisting Patients with Cystic Fibrosis held a conference on problems associated with cystic fibrosis in the Nizhniy Novgorod region. The conference was held as part of European Cystic Fibrosis Week. Participants of the conference discussed advances in treating cystic fibrosis, a report was presented by Alla Lavrova, head of the gastroenterology and metabolic disorders division of the Privolzhsky Federal Medical Research Centre, different ways to obtain the medicine Bramitob and some legislative aspects of supply of medical and dietetic therapy products were considered. Galina Tarasova, Head of the organisation summarised it’s activities over the year.
In addition, all the participants (adult patients and parents of children with CF) received new books on problems of curing CF and living with CF, published by the Ostrova Charitable Foundation under the Info–CF Programme.
