On 1st of December, a charity concert in support of people with cystic fibrosis, called Winter Breath, was held for the first time in Perm. The event was organized by the MechtaYaZhit Perm regional public organization which won a competition of projects held under the auspices of the Initiative Programme, which is run by the Ostrova Charitable Foundation.
The goal of the event was to draw attention to the problems faced by people living with cystic fibrosis and to collect donations for the purchase of special medical food for the neediest patients with cystic fibrosis in Perm Krai.
The concert, which was held at the Guberniya People’s Art House, featured children and youth performance groups and attracted an audience of more than 200 people. Visitors also were able to enjoy a charity exhibition of wares from local artisans, as well as treats from a sponsor, Brioche Bakery; the proceeds from the sale of these goods will also go to help patients with cystic fibrosis.
