On 27 February, the Oedipus Rex opera -oratorio and puppet mystery, a unique charitable performance, was produced on the main stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
The audience consisted of the Ostrova Charitable Foundation donors, who have bought the tickets and in such a way made a donation for people suffering from cystic fibrosis.
Once again the citizens of St Petersburg proved that not only they took interest in uncommon performances but are also ready to engage in civic activities by supporting charity. The funds raised from the ticket sales exceeded 1.5 million roubles.
