Starting from 15 March the Ostrova Foundation accepts applications from regional patients- and parents-driven organisations who would like to participate in the Initiative and Kinesitherapy contests.
The aim of the Initiative Contest is to find and support the best projects of
the non-profit organizations and initiative groups which are designed to assist self-organisation of parents; to develop patient-driven organisations; to involve experts interested in dealing with issues of cystic fibrosis in Russia.
The aim of the Kinesitherapy Contest is to create Kinesitherapy centres in big towns of Russia, where qualified and certified specialists will provide gratuitous medical care to people suffering from cystic fibrosis.
In the scope of the Program there could be two options of the projects development:
1. Creation of a kinesitherapy office at the premises of a medical institution. The projects of this option can be implemented in the regions, in which there are at least 25 persons with cystic fibrosis who can get treatment in the scope of the project and after its end.
2. Training for specialists for organisation of regular activities with people suffering from cystic fibrosis.
