On 2 March 2017, a theory and practice conference called Peculiarities of outpatient observation and hospital treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis and supported by Ministry of Health of Dagestan Republic took place in Makhachkala.
Leading experts in treatment of children and adults with cystic fibrosis from Moscow, St Petersburg and Samara were invited to participate in conference. Ostrova Foundation was an organiser of this important event as far as we had paid for the trip and the accommodation of the guest speakers.
In total, 180 people including the physicians from Dagestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia took part in the conference as listeners, among which.
Ostrova support organisation of conferences and seminars on cystic fibrosis issues for physicians in regions, since the improvement of knowledge of medical specialists on this disease treatment is a necessary condition for providing the patients with cystic fibrosis from any region of Russia with a high-quality medical care.
