The results of the Competition of Scientific Projects and Publications within the framework of the Charity Program «Science» were presented.
In the category Authors of Scientific Publications in the Field of Cystic Fibrosis, the winner was Alexander Vladimirovich Chernyak, Candidate of Medical Sciences, head of the Laboratory of Functional and Ultrasound Methods of Research of the Research Institute of Pulmonology of FMBA of Russia.
The following articles were submitted for the competition:
• Change in Lung Function of Patients with Cystic Fibrosis Underwent Lung Transplantation
• Respiratory Function Dynamics in Adults with Cystic Fibrosis One Year after Lung Transplantation
Both articles present the results of extensive and important analytical work and describe the Russian experience in evaluating the dynamics of respiratory parameters in patients with cystic fibrosis after bilateral lung transplantation. They discuss certain patterns and risk factors that determine long-term pulmonary function.
The articles are the result of the joint work by about 10 authors, who also participated in the collection of data.
