It has been six months since a complicated lung transplant was performed in St. Petersburg. For the past few months, professionals have monitored the rehabilitation process, and they can now say for sure that it was a total success!
We are happy that the Ostrova Charitable Foundation could do its part to help prepare these specialists. In 2014, with the foundation’s support, doctors from the Pavlov First St. Petersburg State Medical University performed their residency at the Nouvel Hôpital Civil in Strasbourg, France.
We hope such operations become regular practice and help save the lives of dozens more awaiting lung transplants.
