On 6-7 October 2018 in Minsk (Belarus), the research and practical conference «An Introduction to the European Cystic Fibrosis Society Patient Registry» was held in the framework of the Tenth Conference of Pediatricians.
During the event, talks were dedicated to working with the European Cystic Fibrosis Society Patient Registry (ECFSPR) and updated European standards for providing care to patients with cystic fibrosis. Professor Milan Macek (Czech Republic) told participants about the project’s results in the field of genetic analysis in different countries under the framework of a Vertex (USA) grant, as well as addressed the topic of neonatal cystic fibrosis screening.
Employees from the cystic fibrosis department (E. I. Kondrateva, A. Y. Voronkova, S. A. Krasovskiy, M. A. Starinova) and genetic epidemiology department (N. Y. Kashirskaya) of the Medical Genetic Research Center took part in the Conference. They shared their experiences working with the Registry for CF patients in Russia with their European and Belarussian colleagues.
