Charity foundation «Ostrova» offers a training program for physicians, helping them to improve their skills not only in large centers for cystic fibrosis treatment in Russia, but also in leading European clinics.
One of such initiatives is the educational course «Clinical aspects of care for children and adults suffering from cystic fibrosis.»
It is available online in English. Any physician successfully completing it is entitled to full-time training at the center for cystic fibrosis of the Royal Brompton hospital (London, UK).
Vakharlovskaya Maria Viktorovna, PhD, a geneticist at the Saint Petersburg State Medical Genetic Center, is one such doctor who passed the entire training cycle.
