On May 20, a regional citizens’ reception day was held in St. Petersburg to mark City Day.
The Ostrova Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Patient Assistance Organization decided to take advantage of the opportunity.
On behalf of these two organizations, Yuliya Zaytseva attended a reception for the Vice Governor for Social Issues in order to draw attention to two important strategic tasks and pass on written requests.
The first request concerned a procedure for implementing the provisions of the Social Code on providing inhalers to cystic fibrosis patients.
The second request concerned organizing the diagnosis of the risk of genetic diseases during family planning and access to reproductive technologies for families with children who have cystic fibrosis and who wish to have additional children.
On May 24, the Public Health Committee of St. Petersburg held a working meeting on organization of kinesitherapy classes in the city’s clinics with Natalya Vladimirovna Andriyanycheva, chief of the department for organizing medical assistance for mothers and children.
