A unique event will be held in Milan on September 5 – 6, 2019: The 1st Adult Cystic Fibrosis International Workshop.
The working language for the event will be English.
The conference is being organized by AFISM, the Association Internationale pour la promotion de Formations Spécialisées en Médecine et en Science Biologique [International Association for the Promotion of Specialized Education in Medicine and Biology].
The meeting will be held at the University of Milan.
The advisory board included leading cystic fibrosis experts from Italy and Europe — Francesco Blasi, Stefano Aliberti, and Stuart Elborn.
Thinking of dedicating a whole International Congress to Adult Cystic Fibrosis would have been considered utopian in the past, but in recent decades new epidemiology and advancements in diagnosis, therapies, and treatments have made this topic worthy of dedicated and deep attention.
The aim of the project is to gather together the researchers and clinicians who specialize in cystic fibrosis for an in-depth discussion on the critical issues involved in managing the pathology in adulthood.
