From February 12 to May 28, 2019, with financial support from the Ostrova Foundation, Natalya Anatolyevna Krylova, a nutritionist and junior research associate at the state-owned Scientific Research Institute of Pulmonology, which is under the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia, took a dietology course at the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
Ms. Krylova is actively using the knowledge she gained in her daily work with cystic fibrosis patients: she is counseling those who are undergoing treatment at Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 57 in Moscow, selecting food for people on a waiting list for lung transplantation, as well as for patients who have undergone surgery.
The doctor plans to organize consultations with nutritionists for people under both inpatient and outpatient care.
