In September, a physician’s workshop was held at the bacteriological laboratory of the Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital in Krasnodar, a state budgetary healthcare institution.
The doctors attending the workshop agreed on the need for common approaches to identifying microorganisms and developing forms for recording research results. They discussed problems with determining the sensitivity of P. aeruginosa and other microorganisms to coliston, as well as phenotypic methods for determining carbapenem.
The workshop focused on the following topics:
- Sending biological materials for study to CF patients living in remote areas of the Krasnodar Krai at the expense of the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund, as well as sending completed microbiological analyses to a client’s email account;
- The need to indicate the excreted quantity of microorganisms in degrees;
- Purchasing equipment needed to operate a biological laboratory.
