From October 22 – 25, 2019, a symposium entitled “Clinical Analysis of Cystic Fibrosis” and a practice-oriented seminar on kinesiotherapy methods were held as part of the XVIII Russian Congress “Innovative Technologies in Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery” at the Cystic Fibrosis Department and Cystic Fibrosis Center of the Children’s Clinical Multidisciplinary Center of the Moscow Region, a state budgetary healthcare institution located in Mytishchi.
The Ostrova Charitable Foundation served as the technical organizer of the event.
The seminar facilitators were specialists in pediatrics and pulmonology from the Center for the Study of Lung Diseases at the Universitätsmedizin Heidelberg in Germany: Prof. Olaf Sommerburg, director of the Department of Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergology, and Annegret Howel, a physical therapist (kinesiotherapist) at the same clinic and the Cystic Fibrosis Center.
The event was attended by 35 kinesiotherapists and pulmonologists from 10 regions in Russia.
