X All-Russian Conference of Cystic Fibrosis Patient Organizations

On October 12, 2019, St. Petersburg hosted the IX All-Russian Conference of Cystic Fibrosis Patient Organizations “Solving Urgent Problems of Cystic Fibrosis Patients in Russia: Focus on Organizing a System for Assisting Adults with Cystic Fibrosis.”

The goal of the event was:

• To inform regional representatives of the Interregional Public Organization “Assistance for Cystic Fibrosis Patients” about modern treatment methods;
• To contribute to solving problems of providing medical and social assistance to cystic fibrosis patients in Russia, especially for adults;
• To enhance the role of patient organizations in the regions.

Organizer of the Interregional Public Organization “Assistance for Cystic Fibrosis Patients,” supported by the Ostrova Charitable Foundation.

The conference was attended by 55 representatives of patient organizations dealing with cystic fibrosis issues from 46 territorial entities of the Russian Federation and leading specialists in the field of cystic fibrosis.

The conference agenda featured delivery of papers by the main speakers.
