On November 22, 2019, a roundtable on “Features of Laboratory Diagnosis of Infectious Complications and Cystic Fibrosis” was held at the Chelyabinsk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital (ChODKB).
The keynote speakers were microbiologist physicians from forensic laboratories in the field of cystic fibrosis: Svetlana Polikarpova, Cand. Med. Sci., Director of the Bacteriological Laboratory of the O. M. Filatov Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 15 in Moscow and Artem Lyamin, Cand. Med. Sci., Associate Prof. in the Department of General and Clinical Microbiology, Immunology, and Allergology, bacteriologist physician in the Microbiological Department of the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory of the Samara Medical University in Samara.
Svetlana Polikarpova spoke about the importance of accurate species identification and the diversity of microorganisms in cystic fibrosis patients. Artem Lyamin presented a paper on the possible use of modern equipment for microbiological laboratories.
