On November 9, a Training Session on cystic fibrosis for parents with children who have been diagnosed with the disease was held in Nizhny Novgorod at the Volga Medical Research University, a federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education.
About 50 parents attended the session. This was the first Training Session for patients. The organizers had several objectives: acquaint attendees with the basics of diagnosis, treatment, and medical examinations; provide examples of techniques for using inhalation equipment and PARI respiratory exercisers; highlight details of the andrological health of men with CF; provide insights into the psychological aspect of the reproductive function in young people and adolescents; and exchange experiences.
